The 2017 Nickel & Nickel “State Ranch” Cabernet Sauvignon comes from a single-vineyard site in Yountville, Napa Valley. Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, it was aged in French oak and shows an alcohol level of about 14.5%. The nose is rich with aromas of cassis, blackberry, and ripe plum, layered with violet, graphite, vanilla, and toasted oak. On the palate, it is full-bodied and concentrated, with ripe yet polished tannins, bright acidity, and a long finish carrying chocolate and spice notes. The 2017 vintage combines both power and elegance, offering immediate appeal while also aging gracefully.
