Xijiu Jiaocang 1988 (53% ABV) is a premium jiangxiang (sauce-aroma) baijiu produced by Guizhou Xijiu Co., Ltd., located along the Chishui River in Xishui County, Guizhou Province. The name commemorates 1988, the year Xijiu's sauce-aroma baijiu was awarded the prestigious title of National Fine Wine. Crafted through a rigorous 165-step process involving double-grain feeding, nine steamings, eight fermentations, and seven distillations over a full year-long production cycle, the liquid is then blended from base spirits aged a minimum of eight years alongside vintage reserves distilled prior to 1988. The result is a rich, layered spirit with a pronounced sauce aroma, silky mouthfeel, and a lingering, elegant finish.
